The
Finest Private Scottish Highland History, Heritage & Scenery Tours.
A fascinating half day tour collecting you from the airport, station or hotel and taking you to the site of the the last battle fought on British soil.
Once we arrive at Culloden, our guide will give you a fascinating
walk around the battlefield including a full explanation of how it was lost and
won including the politics which led up to the battle. Then you can visit the
National Trust exhibition and shop if you wish.

On Culloden Battlefield itself you will see some restored dykes and the Well of the Dead where many Jacobites perished. The battlefield is also a war graveyard and Victorian stones commemorating some of the clans which were decimated on 16th April 1746 can be viewed.
After a coffee break we travel on to the finest Late Stone Age or Early Bronze Age site on the northern Scottish mainland. Here we will show you some of the hidden features and also provide you with time to just absorb the importance of the site and take in the atmosphere.
Nearby, for those interested in railways or industrial architecture, there is a superb example of a brick built viaduct which carries the main Inverness to Perth rail line.
If you would like to build in some shopping at Pringles Woollen Mill let us know so that a few minutes can be shaved off the battlefield or prehistoric visit. Alternatively you should possibly think about adding an hour to the tour.
